Lord Narayana giving weapons to Lord Shiva for tripurasamhara. This story is mentioned in the saptama skandha of Srimad Bhagavatam immediately after Narasimha avataram.Every pauranic story has either a vaishnava orientation/version or a shaiva orientation/ version. The pertinent verse reference is SB. 7.10. 65- 66. This story is the Vaishnava version of tripuradahana. There is no point in denying the pauranic versions that one is unaware of.

Shankaracharya and Ramanujacharya Tirunakshatram Celebrations

May 1st was thirunakshatram of Adi Shankaracharya and May 2nd was the thirunakshtaram of Sri Ramanujacharya. Livermore temple celebrated the thirunakshatrams of the 2 great acharyas by having Ha:rathi, Veedhi utsavam and Sattramurai.
